- You can experience the atmosphere of old Tokyo -
Asakusa has the charm and atmosphere of old Tokyo. The Japanese traditional town impresses many foreign tourists coming for sightseeing.

The central entrance is protected by the guardians called “the God of the Wind” and “the God of Thunder”. There is also a huge lantern (show dimensions) which is often photographed by tourists.

Why not visit the Nakamise shopping street where there are more than 90 stores that strtech 250m once you pass through the gate.

You may purchase a lot of Japanese traditional cakes (i.e. Kaminari-okoshi and Ningo-yaki) and a souvenir.

When you finish walking through the Nakamise shopping street, you pass through Hozo-mon Gate and set foot in the precinct of the temple. Here you can visit the Senso-ji temple and a five story pagoda.

Senso-ji Temple has a history more than 1000 years from construction, and is a very popular tourist spot.
(This photograph is not Senso-ji Temple. Unfortunately it is under construction now.)

In front of the main hall of a Sensou-ji temple, there is the furnace which is handed down when there is recovered when I hit the bad part of the body with smoke.
you can purchase a fortune-telling (Omikuji) too.

In addition, there are many attractive attractions in Asakusa, and you can enjoy sightseeing on the foot.
