Asakusa has the charm and atmosphere of old Tokyo. The Japanese traditional town impresses many foreign tourists coming for sightseeing.

Kaminari Gate

The central entrance is protected by the guardians called “the God of the Wind” and “the God of Thunder”. There is also a huge lantern (show dimensions) which is often photographed by tourists.

Nakamise shopping street

Why not visit the Nakamise shopping street where there are more than 90 stores that strtech 250m once you pass through the gate.

Japanese traditional cake & Boiled peas with honey and bean jam

You may purchase a lot of Japanese traditional cakes (i.e. Kaminari-okoshi and Ningo-yaki) and a souvenir.

Hozo Gate

When you finish walking through the Nakamise shopping street, you pass through Hozo-mon Gate and set foot in the precinct of the temple. Here you can visit the Senso-ji temple and a five story pagoda.

Denpo Gate

Senso-ji Temple has a history more than 1000 years from construction, and is a very popular tourist spot.

Sensou-ji temple
In front of the main hall of a Sensou-ji temple, there is the furnace which is handed down when there is recovered when I hit the bad part of the body with smoke.
you can purchase a fortune-telling (Omikuji) too.

Denpo-street
In addition, there are many attractive attractions in Asakusa, and you can enjoy sightseeing on the foot.

Access
Asakusa is served by the Ginza Subway Line, Asakusa Subway Line, Tsukuba Express and Tobu Railways.

You can enjoy Sumida River cruising from here to Pier Hinode and Odaiba.

Ccruising to Hinode Pier leave Asakusa every 30-60 minutes from 10:00 to 17:00.
Asakusa to Hinode : 40 minutes 760 Yen.
Hinode to Odaiba : 20 minutes 460 Yen.
Asakusa to Odaiba by direct ship : 55 minutes 1520 Yen
